Elder Carnelius E. Yates

    Pastor C.E. Yates was born to the parentage of the late Elder Benjamin& Ocleta Yates on May 9, 1953 In Roxton Texas.  He graduated in 1972 from Garland High School.  He attended and graduated from Ranger Junior College located in Ranger Texas and also from McMurry University located in Abilene Texas.  In January 1976 He married Brenda  S. Young and they are the parents of 3 children.  They are the grandparents of 8 and 2 great grandchildren.

    Pastor Yates started in the ministry under Superintendent A.C. Bennett of Southside C.O.G.I.C. In Abilene Texas in 1977 and was later ordained as a minister in 1977.  He preached his first sermon entitled:  God Will Make a Way.

    He attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. W. T. Kennedy, and also the Power House C.O.G.I.C. Under the leadership of the late Elder Benjamin
Yates in Rockwall Texas.  In 1987 Pastor Yates stepped out on faith and founded the New Generation Holiness Church Ministry.  The first location was on McCree Street,  from there they moved and fellow shipped at 205 ½ Lake drive where they fellow shipped for 9 years in a two car garage.  He was later blessed to move to our current location 153 East Wanda Drive.

    Pastor Yates is a member of the Neighborhood Association.  He has been a active member for 10 plus years.  He is known as the Neighborhood Pastor.  His current pastimes are fishing, yard work, building, and collecting tools.  You can find him at his favorite stores:  Home Depot or Harbor Freight.

    One of Pastor Yates favorite sayings:  “Without Faith it is impossible to Please God.”  Pastor Yates is thankful for where God has brought him from and is anticipating where God will lead him now and in the future.

First Lady

Missionary Brenda S. Yates

    First Lady Brenda S. Yates was born to the parents of the late Mr. Freddie Lee and Mrs. Vessie M. Young on June 6, 1954 in Rockwall Texas.  She graduated from Garland High School in 1972 and furthered her education and training at Commercial Business College in Abilene Texas and Richland Community College in Richardson Texas.  Brenda married Carnelius E. Yates on January 2, 1976 and they are the proud parents of 3 children, Tabitha, Nicholas and Jeremy, and grandparents of 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grand children.

    First Lady Yates believe in working and doing whatever she can  to help her fellowman and became a licensed Missionary in 1999.  She has made herself available to be used by God, However and whenever he requires with true dedication and devotion to the Body of Christ.  She is supportive in the Ministry at the New Generation Holiness Church and is very active as the First Lady under the leadership of Elder Carnelius Yates where she hold the position as Overseer of the Women Department.  First Lady Yates also works in her neighborhood as Secretary of the Freemonteer Neighborhood Association.  In the year of 2007 First lady was honored by the NAACP Garland Branch for a First Lady Award. and  she give God the Glory for all that he has done and often says “All the Glory, Honor, and Praise belongs to God.”

    Though she is a woman that wears many hats and though she has been anointed by God and has been given many gifts and talents, most of all she is a woman of divinity and acknowledged as being a Proverb 31 woman, a virtuous woman called and chosen by God.
